REPLACEABLE VALVE UNIT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: sanitary engineering, in particular, pipe fittings for water supply systems.

SUBSTANCE: replaceable valve unit has casing arranged in fittings receptacle and provided with gate composed of set of movable and immovable flat washers with through openings. Washers rest upon flexible layer. Rotary drive stem is hermetically sealed by means of rings. Through opening of immovable flat washer is made in the form of segment having height of 0.2-0.8 the radius of washer. Base of segment arc is offset from washer center by distance making 0.2-0.8 the radius of washer. One half of segment chord is defined by arc of inscribed sector with center arranged on washer diameter extending in parallel with segment chord. Radius of sector is 0.2 the radius of washer to contact point with segment arc. Through opening of movable flat washer is made in the form of semicircle having radius exceeding 0.2 R and less than 0.8 R. Center of semicircle is offset from washer center by distance less than 0.2 R and exceeding 0.8 R, where R is radius of washer.

EFFECT: increased regulating capacity of replaceable valve unit at different hydraulic conditions and provision for changing direction of adjustment of through opening area.
