FIELD: radio detection and ranging, applicable in on-board radar pulse-Doppler systems.

SUBSTANCE: the device has the first mixer, reference local oscillator, first filter, second mixer, reference local oscillator, first filter, second mixer, second filter, amplifier, control voltage forming device, controlled local oscillator, reference local oscillator, analog-to-digital converter of the radar, two parallel channels, each containing a Doppler filter, detector and an integrator, device for subtraction of the maximum value of signals and their difference, divider of the difference of integrals by the maximum value, digital-to-analog converter; the device also uses a switch, signal take-off and switch control circuit, digital integrator and an additional rough control code formation circuit, having two parallel digital multiposition counters source for formation of the current value of Doppler frequency, signal take-off and switch control circuit.

EFFECT: reduced error of compensation of Doppler frequency due to enhanced reliability of used information by preliminary selection of echo signals according to intensity used at formation of the control voltage, as well as due to excluded probability of appearance of a regular error arising at a certain excess of the threshold value of Doppler frequency.
