FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.
SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, heat liberated by internal combustion engine is used repeatedly, i.e. gases executing work in cylinders are directed to turbine wheel installed on engine crankshaft, and heat emitted at combustion of fuel in cylinders is used for generation of steam when heating cooling liquid. Said steam is directed to second turbine wheel installed on crankshaft.
EFFECT: increased fuel economy and engine power output.
