FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building. ICE gas turbine supercharging system with device for overcoming “turbo-lag” consists of outlet branch pipe (5) of turbo-compressor (4) connected to silencer (6). Heat exchanger coil (15) is located in said outlet branch pipe (5). Inside the exhaust branch pipe (2) there is coil-heat exchanger (16) with the possibility of obtaining superheated steam in it. Silencer (6) is placed in sealed thermos tank (7) with a stock of vapour-forming liquid (9) in cavity (8) formed between silencer (6) housing and the inner shell of thermos tank (7), which also contains safety valve (13). Thermos tank (7) is connected to steam nozzle (18) through shut-off valve (17) and said heat exchanger coils (15, 16). System comprises an electronic engine control unit (19) connected to shut-off valve (17), a sensor mounted on the crankshaft, and a supercharging air pressure sensor mounted in discharge pipe (20), and configured to automatically control the supply of superheated steam.
EFFECT: elimination of “turbo lag” phenomenon at ICE equipped with gas turbine supercharging system, as well as increased service life of gas turbine supercharging system and the whole ICE.
