COMPLEX OF CORRECTABLE ARTILLERY ARMAMENT WITH LASER GUIDANCE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2231734 C1

FIELD: armament, in particular, control systems of artillery guided missiles with a laser guidance.

SUBSTANCE: the complex has a correctable artillery missile with a semi-active homing head and a flying mission setter functionally bound up with the firing tables. The complex is provided with communication radio sets, laser target indicator-range finder with an "own" code setter conjugate to the receiving channel of the communication radio set, and an airborne transponder, which is installed in the correctable artillery missile for transmission of a signal of "ready" to reception of the flight mission after the shot after a time limit to the receiving channel of the communication radio set. Besides, the transponder provides for a subsequent reception of information on the approach time and information on the "own" code via the transmitting channel of the communication radio set, as well as for transmission of the respective "own" code and the command for actuation of laser radiation on expiration of the approach time from the transmitting channel of the airborne transponder via the receiving channel of the communication radio set to the laser target indicator-range finder.

EFFECT: automated process of guidance of a correctable artillery missile, enhanced antijamming capability and reduced time of preparation at missile loading.
