SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of weapons, in particular to the artillery guided projectiles with the laser semi-active homing head capturing the illuminated target on the trajectory final section. Method of firing projectiles with laser semi-active homing head from battery guns involves topographical linkage of target designator, target and weapons of firing position to area, detection of target, measurement of target polar coordinates by target designator and their transfer to scout panel of appropriate target indicator, calculation of firing settings on coordinates of target and weapon and their implementation, establishment of single computer time in scout panels and in gun control panels, and firing. After the shot is fired, the time for switching on the laser radiation of the target designator through a digital radio link is transmitted to the reconnaissance station, and the projectile is aimed at the target, which is illuminated with laser radiation of the target designator by the signal from the reconnaissance panel. At that, the target designation topography is carried out with the coordinate updating frequency of up to 100 Hz, the targets coordinates transfer is performed from each scout panel by digital radio communication to the commander's panel, arbitrarily located on the area between the observation post and the firing position, transmission of coordinates of weapons is carried out from each control panel of the weapon by digital radio communication to the commander's console, in the commander's console a computer time is set, which is the same as the time of the scout consoles and the gun control panels, command for production of shot is issued by commander's console, transmission of time for switching on of laser radiation of target designator is carried out via digital radio communication from control panel of firing gun to commander's panel, and then from commander's panel to reconnaissance panel accompanying target.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the battery system with one commander for hitting several targets with a volley by coordinating scouting operations and calculating guns in real time and improving the quality of firing shells with a laser half-active homing head.
