FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for balancing rotating members of machines and mechanisms. Proposed automatic balancer contains balancing chamber installed on supports and filled with solidifiable materials. Used as said material are low-melting materials capable of repeatedly changing its aggregative state. Solidifiable materials plays part of balancing mass. Balancing chamber is partially filled with solidifiable material and it is made in form of hollow cylinder located inside rotor. Radial groove is made on outer surface of chamber. Two semirings are fitted in radial groove. Semirings made of magnetized ferromagnetic alloy are capable of moving radially under action of centrifugal forces, arising at vibration caused by rotor unbalance at its rotation, through distance sufficient for contact with protective case preliminarily installed around chamber and return into initial position at disappearing of centrifugal forces caused by vibration owing to magnetic field of semirings. Balancing chamber and case are made of nonmagnetic material.
EFFECT: improved reliability of device used at different operating conditions of rotation systems.
