FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is designed for balancing rotating members of machines and mechanisms. Proposed automatic balancer contains balancing chamber installed on support and filled with solidifiable material. Used as said material are low-melting materials capable of repeatedly changing their aggregative state. Solidifiable material plays part of balancing mass. Balancing chamber is partially filled with solidifiable material and it is made in form of hollow cylinder located inside rotor. Bimetallic plates are installed on supports of balancing chamber by means of brackets. Cover plates made of material with high friction coefficient are fitted on ends of bimetallic plates through gaskets made of heat insulating material. Height of bracket is chosen to provide contact of cover plates with end face wall of chamber at temperature deformation of plates caused by additional heating of supports at vibration of rotor.
EFFECT: improved reliability of device used at different operating conditions of rotation systems.
