PROTECTIVE MITTEN FOR BEEKEEPER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: apiculture, in particular, equipment for beekeeper.

SUBSTANCE: protective mitten 1 executed from double-layer natural material has palm and rear hand parts 2 made integral with thumb finger-stall 3 having rounded apex 4 and axis arranged at an angle with respect to hand axis. Flexible retainer 6 is made of elastic material (knitted rubber for home facilities) and arranged in the vicinity of wrist 5. Mitten is equipped with elbow part 7. Flexible retainer 9 is arranged at end of elbow part 7 in pair of slots 8. Several pairs of slots 10 are arranged in the vicinity of wrist 5 perpendicular to mitten axis and adapted for insertion of flexible retainer 6. Mitten 1 has easy-fitting width to form air pad inside mitten for providing micro ventilation and also for additional protection from stings in case bee does bite through mitten. With several reserve slots 10 available, flexible retainer 6 may be readily inserted into slot, which provides for strict fixing of mitten 1 on hand of any size.

EFFECT: increased efficiency in protecting of beekeeper's hands from stings, simplified construction and wider operational capabilities.
