FIELD: mechanical engineering; timber and wood-working industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for transportation and sorting of timber. Proposed longitudinal conveyor has guides, traction member, crossmembers in form of base mounted on conveyor and provided with saddles in form of disks installed in springs. Upper surface of disk is saddle-like, and lower surface is cylindrical. Conveyor has locks made in form of plates arranged on bases of crossmembers for engaging with lower cylindrical surfaces of saddles fixed on bases from cross displacement by flexible members and provided with stops arranged in zone of action of knockout mechanisms. Disks are connected with base cantilevers through flexible members. Owing to connection of disks with base cantilevers through flexible members, saddles can be returned to initial position after knocking out of log and fixed on axles against free displacement.
EFFECT: improved reliability of longitudinal conveyor in operation owing to prevention of failures and breakage of crossmembers when changing over from upper guides to lower ones.
