FIELD: mechanical engineering; timber and wood-working industries.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for transportation and sorting of timber. Proposed longitudinal conveyor has guides, traction member, crossmembers in form of bases with saddles installed on bases for turning which are connected with bases by flexible elements and provided with locks, and knockout mechanisms. Locks are made in form of chambers with ballast located on cantilevers of saddles and provided with valves in zone of action of knockout mechanisms made in form of extensible rods. Locks in form of chambers with ballast located on cantilevers of saddles with valves provide knocking out of logs owing to release of ballast from chambers of one of sides of crossmembers and tipping over saddles by outweighing of their cantilevers after release of ballast owing to reduction of weight of cantilevers opposite to direction of knockout. Making of knockout mechanisms in form of extensible rods provides reliable contact with valves in process of knocking out of logs.
EFFECT: improved reliability of longitudinal conveyor in operation.
