FIELD: organic chemistry, polymers.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to block-copolymers consisting of vinylcyclohexane mainly. Block-copolymers can be processed to molded articles by extrusion of casting under pressure. Invention relates to preparing molded articles exhibiting high thermostability, good mechanical indices, high transmission degree in visible and almost UV-spectrum being especially low double refraction and water absorption. Block-copolymer comprises at least one soft and one solid block that involves at least 65 wt.-% of repeated links of the formula (I):
wherein R1, R2, R3 mean independently hydrogen atom or alkyl with 1-6 carbon atoms; p = 0, 1-5. Soft block comprises 50-99% of repeated links based on linear or branched alkenyl with 2-14 carbon atoms and 1-50 wt.-% of repeated links of the general formula (I).
