FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hydrogenated copolymer of styrene and a conjugated diolefin, a foam material produced therefrom, and to an application thereof. The copolymer contains a styrene structural unit and a structural unit of a hydrogenated conjugated diene, as calculated for the total amount of the copolymer, the content of the styrene structural unit is 15 to 50 wt.%, preferably 18 to 45 wt.%, the content of the 1,2-polymerisation structure unit of the structural unit of the hydrogenated conjugated diolefin is 8 to 32%, preferably 10 to 30%, more preferably 12 to 25%, the degree of disorder of the styrene structural unit relative to the structural unit of the hydrogenated conjugated diolefin is 30 to 80%, preferably 35 to 75%, and the degree of hydrogenation of the conjugated diolefin in the copolymer is 80 to 100%, preferably 95 to 100%. The tensile strength at break of the hydrogenated copolymer of styrene and a conjugated diolefin is 30 to 60 MPa, elongation at break is 300 to 600%, and hardness (Shore A) is 70 to 98. Moreover, use of the method for foaming with carbon dioxide in a supercritical state allows producing a foam material exhibiting excellent working characteristics, including rebound elasticity greater than 60% and compression deformation less than 30%.
