FIELD: mining industry, in particular, blasting operations on open pits.
SUBSTANCE: the device for charging has three main assemblies: a head consisting of a section of pipe and a cover installed on which branch pipes for supply and exhaust of compressed air firmly fixed in the mouth of the hole. The device for fastening of the head represents a rubber apron firmly attached to the lower part of the head pipe section. The apron is reinforced by flexible strong longitudinal elements with a low extensibility. The lower part of the apron is cut into longitudinal strips with a length equal to several diameters of the hole. The second assembly is a hose having a diameter exceeding the diameter of the whole, it is made of flexible material resistant to water and explosives. The hose lower end is sealed and provided with a load for dipping in water. The hose is passed through the head pipe section to the hole bottom. And its upper end is straightened on the upper section of the pipe and, enveloping the top of the pipe, is hermetically clamped on it through gaskets by the head cover by means of clamps. The third assembly are drain hoses of water-resistant material with a sufficient transverse rigidity, passing along the hole walls from the bench surface to the hole bottom. The hose gets straightened at a smooth supply of compressed air through the branch pipe. The lower longitudinal strips of the apron are pressed by air to the hole walls providing for unfastening of the head in the hole mouth, and water is pressed out of the hole through the hoses. After removal of water the air pressure in the hose is released, the hoses are extracted, the cover is opened, and the hose is filled with explosive and primers are installed, and the upper part of the hole is filled up with stemming. Then, the head is extracted. Thus, the process of hole charging is over.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and efficiency of operations in charging of flooded holes, holes with running water inclusive.
