FIELD: forest industry, applicable for sawing of timber.

SUBSTANCE: the round-sawing machine has a bed, planetary moving gear, balancing frame with a sawing shaft and an electric motor having two outlet ends. One outlet end is coupled through a transmission to the sawing shaft, and a satellite gear and a hinged carrier of the planetary moving mechanism are rigidly fastened on the other. The central wheels of the outer and inner engagements mounted on different shafts through clutches and belt transmissions are engaged with a DC generator shaft, with an inverter installed on whose outlets. The generator exciting winding is provided with an exciting current controller.

EFFECT: rational use of energy spent on braking and turning of the balancing frame.
