FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: proposed system contains capacitive pickups of oil level and quality, oil temperature pickup, corrector to correct measured value of oil quality. Oil quality and temperature pickups are connected to corrector together with oil level pickup, and they are installed for contact with oil. System is furnished with comparison unit for calculating and comparing values of condition of oil, first setter to set minimum tolerable quantity of oil, normalized values of consumption of oil and changes of oil quality and setting oil quality rejection value, second setter for setting time interval and time span, first and second storage devices for recording oil quantities values, summer for summing up oil quantities values, engine operating time meter, display for showing oil condition values, first, second and third signaling devices to indicate condition of oil. Oil level pickup is connected to corrector, and corrector, first setter, first and second storage devices, summer, engine operating time meter, first, second and third signaling devices are connected to comparison unit; second setter is connected to summer, first storage device and engine operating time meter; oil temperature pickup, corrector, summer and comparison unit are connected to display. Description of invention provides method of control of condition of oil in internal combustion engine by means of proposed system.

EFFECT: enlarged range of oil quality control, indication of drop of oil level and intolerable deterioration of oil quality.
