FIELD: mechanical engineering; cooling facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cooling units and parts of machines and instruments, delivering and removing air or gas to/from machines and instruments, residential, and industrial and specialized rooms, for creating pneumatic transportation devices, dust trapping systems, and also in hover craft and wing-in-ground-effect craft. According to proposed invention blades of axial-flow fan are made concave or flat in section and their edges are made either straight-line or non-straight-line, and working planes of blades are installed at acute angle to plane of rotation. End face tips of all blades are bent to side of working surfaces through angle of 90o with preservation of value of ring clearance between inner cylindrical surface of guide housing and perimeters of end faces of each blade, and face tip can be 1-5 times greater than thickness of blade in place of bending.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of power and increased efficiency of axial-flow fan.
