FIELD: ice-breaking jobs.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in propelling submarine vessel (2) under ice (1) and exciting resonance flexural gravitational waves (3) in ice when submarine vessel is running at resonance speed. Positive buoyancy body (4) is towed under first wave crest behind stern during motion of vessel (2). Buoyancy of body (4) is periodically changed at frequency equal to frequency of resonance flexural gravitational waves.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of ice breaking.
