FIELD: shipbuilding; submarine vessels breaking ice cover by resonance flexural gravitational waves. SUBSTANCE: method consists in creating hydraulic hammer under ice by means of abrupt braking of submarine vessel and forming local hydraulic resistance in aft extremity at moment of braking the vessel.
