FIELD: manufacture of chromatographic apparatus.
SUBSTANCE: proposed column includes many isolated parallel channels whose walls are coated with sorbent on the inside and are fused together with walls of adjacent channels on the outside. Proposed column is made in form of set of modules of different levels; module of lowest level is made in form of channels having shape of regular hexagon in cross section due to joint drawing of cluster of mono-capillaries in softened state. Module of each higher level is set of hexagonal set of channels having shape of regular hexagon in cross section. All modules of highest level (enclosed in envelope 1 in Drawing) containing modules 2 of previous level are arranged in single hexagonally packed structure (surrounded with protective envelope 3 in Drawing formed due to joint drawing in softened state. Method of manufacture of columns consists in several stages of drawing of stacks of blanks; each stage is results of drawing of previous stage. Proposed method ensures forming of channels of micron and sub-micron sizes in the amount of one million.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
