FIELD: electrical engineering; electrical machine winding manufacture.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method and device are characterized in that wire 18 fed by means of guide member 20 is wound on spinning body 10 of template 10, 12, mentioned spinning body being provided with depressions 16. In the course of rotation of template 10, 12 wire is cyclically indented in respective depressions 16 by means of radially moving external spinning members 12. Then wave-like shaped turns are conveyed to longitudinal slits of winding coil magazine 34 axially positioned in front of spinning body 10 during winding process to prevent its rotation. Provision is made for final termination of last turn of wave winding in respective depression 16 by means of at least one spinning member 12 closest to guide member 20 to facilitate procedure of manufacturing completely wave windings on periphery; spinning member 12 is radially displaced inwardly to radial end position in addition to spinning in the course of winding at angle of turn of template other than that during cyclic spinning.

EFFECT: facilitated manufacture of windings with definite number of turns complete on winding periphery.
