FIELD: converter engineering; power supplies for induction heaters.
SUBSTANCE: proposed frequency converter has three-phase bridge rectifier built around six diodes 1 - 6, its input leads being connected to those of frequency converter; single-phase bridge inverter built around four transistors 7 - 10, its output leads being shorted out by capacitor 11 and connected to converter output leads 12; choke 13; diode 14; transistor 15; cathode of diode 14 is connected to collector group of inverter through diode 13; anode of diode 14 is connected to anode group of rectifier through transistor 15; anode of diode 14 is also connected to emitter group of inverter through second choke 16; cathode of diode 14 is connected to cathode group of rectifier through second transistor 17. Transistor T15 is shorted out by series circuit set up of two differentially connected diodes 18, 19 interconnected through anodes; second transistor T17 is shorted out by second series circuit set up of two differentially-connected diodes 20, 21 interconnected through cathodes; common point of anodes of series-circuit diodes 18, 19 is connected to common point of cathodes 20, 21 of second series circuit through second capacitor 22 and resistor 23.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of frequency converter.
