FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing aromatic compounds. Method involves carrying out alkylation reaction of benzene with olefins in the presence of fresh and circulating aluminum chloride-base catalyst complex to obtain alkylate and gaseous benzene evaporated in alkylation and its the following two-step condensation in special heat-exchangers cooled with water and additional treatment noncondensed prebenzene part from passed by benzene with polyalkylbenzene. Unreacted benzene evaporated in alkylating device and containing prebenzene fraction and hydrogen chloride is condensed in mixing condenser, for example, in scrubber dried with direct benzene feeding for alkylation reaction and noncondensed prebenzene fraction is fed to additional treatment from passed by benzene and hydrogen chloride.
EFFECT: simplified technological scheme, reduced energy consumption.
