METHOD OF PREPARATION OF MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: extraction of magnesium from magnesium-containing materials, such as magnesite, dolomite and silicates in form of serpentive residues, products of amphibolic and pyroxene groups.

SUBSTANCE: magnesium-containing material is first subjected to leaching-out in at least one leaching-out reactor and then it is neutralized by series of neutralization stages in separate reactors at adjustment of pH and oxidizing-reducing portential. Suspension thus obtained is filtered for obtaining pure magnesium chloride solution at content of admixtures of 1 ppm.

EFFECT: low cost of process; increased throughput capacity of plant.
