FIELD: rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used at development and research and design work when creating solid-propellant rocket engines. According to proposed method end-burning solid-propellant charge is used in said tests, including lengthwise restricted charge with different inhibiting coatings. Proposed method makes it possible to obtain quantity evaluation of smoke generating capability of different sources of smoke in solid-propellant rocket engine (solid propellant, inhibiting coating, etc) both at stage of treatment and after natural and boosted-stage storage of solid-propellant rocket engines.
EFFECT: provision of reliable information concerning each source of smoke in solid-propellant rocket engine, reduced costs, improved quality to treatment of engine as a whole.
