FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: brake has two braking shoes connected with the braking drum via compression springs. There is an electromagnet inside the drum. The core of the electromagnet is coupled with the braking shoes via rods. The compression spring is mounted on rods pivotally connected with the ends of the braking shoes. The other ends of the braking shoes have bevels, which are in a contact with the side of two nuts with opposite threads mounted on a screw for locking against rotation and permitting rotation.
EFFECT: decreased sizes and enhanced convenience of adjustment.
