FIELD: lifting and transportation machinery.
SUBSTANCE: proposed mechanism is designed for rotating tower crane turntable around vertical axle. Mechanism includes reduction gear, electric motor and brake with electromagnetic arranged on one longitudinal axis. Brake contains pulley, levers with shoes, brake spring and rod installed between levers. Reduction gear has housing and cover. Housing accommodates input, intermediate and output shafts with gear wheels, bearing unit and oil pump. Supports of shafts and oil pump are located on detachable diaphragm installed between housing and cover of reduction gear. Brake is provided with independent adjusters of brake spring and electromagnet core travel. Brake spring is secured on electromagnet lever and is placed in clamp hinge-mounted on one of two levers with shoes. Rod is installed for interacting by one end with core of electromagnet and by other end, with second lever with shoe installed opposite to electromagnet.
EFFECT: facilitated mounting, demounting and maintenance of crane swinging mechanism, improved reliability, capacity and safety.
