FIELD: electrical engineering; stand-by or no-break power units of dc mains.

SUBSTANCE: proposed secondary power supply that can be used in conjunction with low-stability power sources whose power output can vary within comprehensive range, such as windmill-electric, hydroelectric, photoelectric, and other power stations, including reusable power supplies in case of voltage drop across these sources has high-frequency pulsed converter with LC filter and pulse-width modulator whose output is connected to load, storage battery with charging circuit and semiconductor switch for discharge circuit, and semiconductor switch control device connected to supply mains condition sensor; storage battery is connected in series with supply mains through semiconductor switch, load, and high-voltage pulsed converter; charger is made in the form of dc-to-dc converter whose input is connected to output of high-voltage pulsed converter in parallel with load and output, to storage battery.

EFFECT: enhanced power output range due to backup voltage supply in case of voltage drop across main power supplies.
