FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves increasing patient motivation by applying rational psychotherapy approach and clarifying biofeedback concepts. Three areas of color images are shown to the patient on display screen symbolically representing objective psychoemotional state at given session, subjective estimate of his own nutritive requirement given by the patient, standard state level being optimum for given patient for which the patient has to strive. Then, nutritive requirement is actualized and it is recommended to the patient to suppress it by controlling his state from biofeedback type data and changing image color reflecting objective psychoemotional state making it more light taking into account the standard level. Next to it, the patient is orally encouraged to remember the state that occurred when changing objective psychoemotional state image color and approaching to the standard level state. Device has unit for taking measurements and recording physiological values of a patient. It has analog-to-digital converter and functional transformer of physiological parameters, unit for showing sensory biofeedback signal and voltage source with power unit. The unit for taking measurements and recording physiological values has channels for measuring heart beat rate, temperature and muscle tonus, PIC controller and interface hardware. Multi-bit outputs from all channels are connected to the first, the second, the third and the fourth multi-bit inputs of the analog-to-digital converter which multi-bit output is connected to the first multi-bit input of the PIC-controller connected to the first multi-bit input of the functional transformer of physiological parameters. The second multi-bit input is connected to voltage source and the multi-bit output is connected to the first multi-bit input of the unit for showing sensory biofeedback signal and to power supply source. All multi-bit outputs of the power supply source from the first to the seventh one are connected to multi-bit skin resistance channel input, to multi-bit temperature measurement channel input, to multi-bit muscle tonus measurement channel input, to the fifth multi-bit input of analog-to-digital converter, to the second multi-bit input of PIC-controller and to the second multi-bit interface input.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of adjustment.
