FIELD: metallurgy, possibly adjustment and control of extrusion axis at mounting and operation of hydraulic presses.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of measuring coaxiality of press container due to introducing into working cavity of container and moving inside it measuring head secured to end of needle for measuring gaps between working ends of pickups of measuring head and walls of inner cavity of container in mutually normal directions. Coaxiality of die assembly is controlled due to measuring gaps between working ends of pickups of measuring washer mounted in die assembly and surface of needle inserted inside said washer. Said procedures are repeated after technological heating of equipment. Distortion of coaxiality of press equipment during operation is determined by measuring wear degree of guides in mutually normal planes in zone of motion of movable crosspiece joined with plunger.

EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of adjustment of press tool, improved quality of products.
