OVERHEAD BELT CONVEYOR Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in conveyors of large length. Proposed conveyor has belt closed on drive drum and tension drum to side of which roll supports are fastened by means of brackets consisting of twin rolls installed for resting on rigid fixed tubular guides. Belt forms load-carrying and idling runs. Both runs of belt with roll support on section of tension drum travel rest on flat friction supports installed on beams hinge secured on tensioner car. Free ends of beams are provided with rolls for resting on longitudinal fixed guides whose length is equal to maximum travel of tensioner drum. Tensioner drum is made stepped for resting of horizontally orientated roll supports against its smaller diameter side parts and their interaction with end faces of middle part of larger diameter of drum. Ratio of larger diameter of drum and roll support pitch on belt is chosen to provide presence of at least two roll supports on tensioner drum simultaneously. Cuts of fixed tubular guides on load-carrying and idling runs adjoin free ends of beams, and they are furnished with conical tips on load-carrying run of belt.

EFFECT: improved reliability of conveyor at increased length.
