FIELD: construction of conveyors, in particular, steeply inclined overhead belt conveyors furnished with pressure contour.

SUBSTANCE: conveyor consists of brackets attached to belt sides and equipped with drive rollers resting upon guides, frame, pressure contour endlessly closed on upper block furnished with brake device and lower end block, said pressure contour being disposed above load-bearing run of overhead belt. Pressure contour consists of two round-link chains interconnected through transverse connectors and is provided with transverse rigid beams attached to chains so that free ends of beams cooperate with brackets of drive rollers. Transverse connectors are formed as rigid plates oriented normally to plane of load-bearing run of belt and directed thereto. Rigid plates are positioned in gaps between drive rollers and equipped with flat bars pivotally secured in the same plane thereon so as to cover cross-sectional area of load-bearing run of belt and rotate around pivot joints in direction of movement of load and abut against said plates on rotation in opposite direction.

EFFECT: increased efficiency owing to reliable catching of torn belt of steeply inclined conveyor.
