SMALL-SIZED SINGLE-USE FLAME THROWER Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: military equipment; single-used grenade launcher and flame throwers.

SUBSTANCE: proposed flame thrower includes launching tube with rocket inside it which is closed with end shield on muzzle end and face of breech, sight and shoulder strap. Elastic covers of flame thrower end cone-shaped walls for tight faying of inner surfaces of cone part to edges of muzzle end and face of breech. Rear cover is single with shoulder panel in form of muzzle attachment with diametral outer size equal to or exceeding diameter of muzzle attachment. Sight is located in base of upright rigidly connected with launching tube and with body of trigger mechanism. Base of upright is made in form of box and is provided with elastic ears with oval holes. Sight may be provided with sight angle correction mechanism. Shoulder strap may be provided with anti-noise inserts in valve pocket with elastic clamping ring made from elastic material, rubber for example.

EFFECT: improved service characteristics; enhanced safety in handling.
