FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: device for underwater firing includes an external housing, a weapon with ammunition, a firing control device and a controlled muzzle valve. The muzzle valve bore is intended for passage of an underwater shell at firing. The firing control device is equipped with a pyrotechnic charge intended for creation inside the housing before firing of excess gas pressure exceeding the external water pressure. The firing control device is related to the muzzle valve so that possibility of firing after opening of the muzzle valve is provided as a result of pressure rise of pyrotechnic gas inside the housing and possibility of firing stop after closing the muzzle valve is provided. Muzzle valve is installed so that pyrotechnic gas can be bypassed through its bore from the housing to water.

EFFECT: higher firing efficiency.
