FIELD: method for analytical detecting of alkalines, alkaline salts and other substances exhibiting alkaline reaction and reacting with acids, in particular, titration method used in education and production processes.

SUBSTANCE: method involves weighing food and non-food substances; dissolving suspension of said substance in distilled water or measuring predetermined volume of liquid substance; providing titration thereof with the use of acid titrants; determining equivalence point by means of acidity meter; using as titrant electrochemically activated acid water with pH value of 1.95-2.1, with NaCl being added before activation process in an amount of 0.1 wt%.

EFFECT: increased precision in determining of alkalinity, effective solution of environment control problems, reduced costs for utilization and preparing of acid solutions, and increased labor safety.
