FIELD: medicine, clinical-diagnostic and biochemical investigations.
SUBSTANCE: method for quantitative determination of hemoglobin involves treatment of blood sample with anticoagulant, hemolytic agent, and isolation on sorbent agarose - grafted 4-aminomethylphenylboric acid by successive treatment with 0.5 M potassium-phosphate buffer solution with pH 8.0-8.4 and 0.1 M acetic acid solution, and neutralization of acid eluent with the first eluent added preliminary to eluent collector. Method provides reducing time for analysis from 2 h to 30 min. Column with sorbent doesn't require regeneration (stages for regeneration and preserving column with sorbent are eliminated) and sorbent can be store for a long time without loss of its quality. Method involves using more simple and available eluents.
EFFECT: improved method for assay.
