FIELD: passive radar systems.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of receiving set of successive measurements of angular coordinate of moving irradiation source; measuring frequency of irradiation received by two receivers whose antennae move relative to irradiation source with different but known velocity values; calculating on base of measurement results radial velocity of irradiation source at each time moment of measuring; beginning from third measurement calculating in addition range until irradiation source. Invention allows to eliminate very complex problem caused by use of triangular method for determining coordinates of large number of irradiation sources, namely removing false points of crossing bearings.
EFFECT: simplified high-reliability method and apparatus for determining coordinates.
