FIELD: controlled lasing engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be used for building controlled laser cavities of various types, among them being those incorporating provision for output power control, pulse-periodic modulation mode in continuous-wave laser within comprehensive range and with different amplitude, as well as for enhancing output emission power and peak intensity of various lasers involves replacement of two or more laser cavity mirrors by deformable mirrors. Reflecting surface shape of each mirror is controlled by means of electric, magnetic, mechanical, or hydraulic actions generated by control units coupled with computer, electric signal generator, or single- or multiple-channel sensing receiver. Control actions for at least two deformable mirrors of laser cavity are produced in the form of pulse train in which pulses are relatively synchronized with varying or constant phase shift.
EFFECT: enlarged range of materials treated in laser process systems; enhanced quality and productivity of laser treatment.
