FIELD: forestry, in particular, swamping of old cutover areas.
SUBSTANCE: method involves forming small-sized growth windrows by means of bush cutter, which effectuates shuttle motions along transverse strips of cutover area and turns at area boundaries; providing uprooting over the entire cutover area by means of rooter-collector, which effectuates reciprocating motions along longitudinal strips, perpendicular to growth windrow axes to move rooted stumps and growth windrows into single lumber waste windrow, while advancing along the latter from distal boundary to proximal boundary of cutover area (this advancement of rooter-collector may be done from proximal boundary to distal boundary of cutover area as well). After rooter-collector reaches proximal boundary of cutover area, it moves to other side of single lumber waste windrow and, by effectuating similar motions along longitudinal strips beginning from proximal boundary of cutover area, forms second single lumber waste windrow by advancing to distal boundary of cutover area, the cycle being repeated multiple times.
EFFECT: reduced number of lumbar waste windows, increased area for forest crops, and provision for operation of tillage machines.
