FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of high-strength cylinders and tubes of hard-to-work alloyed refractory steels operating at condition of high pressure and in aggressive media.
SUBSTANCE: method according to first variant of invention comprises steps of hot forming of hollow blank of alloyed steel having in its cavity tubular blank of standard carbon steel axially placed with gap for making hollow bimetallic elongated forging; removing inner layer of carbon steel out of forging by mechanically working it. Method according to second variant of invention comprises steps of subjecting hollow blank of alloyed steel with rod of standard carbon steel axially placed with gap in its cavity for making solid bimetallic forging; performing deep drilling for removing carbon-steel core out of forging.
EFFECT: possibility for making hollow elongated blanks of hard-to-work materials.
