FIELD: mining industry, particularly for mining thick beds.
SUBSTANCE: support unit for mining in undercut layer of thick bed with mineral extraction from under-roof interlayer massive to conveyer involves covering pivotally connected to shield, hydraulic posts, base with console oriented towards mineral extraction area, shuttle of gate and hydraulic jack operated by gate shuttle. Hydraulic jack is pivotally connected to base. Console is provided with two levers. The first ends of levers are hinged to console, the second ends thereof are attached to gate shuttle. Hydraulic jack end is fixed into hinge connecting one lever to gate shuttle. One lever may be L-shaped. Gate may be secured to lower consol part.
EFFECT: increased operational reliability due to prevention of gate interference in flow of extracted coal.
