SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to mining, in particular to the extraction of coal from powerful flat seam by means of complex mechanization with the release of coal of the underlying thickness to the downhole conveyor. A method for developing a powerful flat seam with the release of coal of the underlying thickness, including combine excavation of coal in the undermining seam, transportation of chipped coal along the treatment face with a scraper conveyor, maintenance of the working space by sections of mechanized support-protective type, trapping the collapsing coal of the array of the underlying thickness and releasing it to the downhole conveyor through outlet windows in the fences of the sections of the support. The array of the underlying thickness is prepared for release as the face of the cutting layer moves, for which kinematically connected sections of mechanized support are used, including the inner and outer parts. In the cleaning face, the inner part of the support is installed and stretched between the soil and the roof, then the outer part of the support, previously installed along the axis after, is pushed to it. The outer part of the support is also stretched between the soil and the roof. The outer and inner parts of the support are connected with a tray. After the first strip of coal is excavated by the combine harvester, the conveyor belt is moved to the face at a moving step, the thrust force is removed from the inner part of the support, moved to the face and stretched between the soil and the roof. After the second strip of coal is excavated and the conveyor belt is moved to the face, the inner part of the support is moved again, leaving the outer part in place. The mass release of coal under the roof layer is organized after the third movement, removing the thrust force from the hydraulic racks of the outer part. The section of mechanized support for the implementation of this method contains an overlap pivotally connected to the fence on one side, a base pivotally connected to the fence on the other side, hydraulic supports connected to the base and overlap, hydraulic jacks of movement installed on the base, an opening made in the fence, a gutter with sides installed in the fence opening, an inclined tray attached to the fence at the level of the lower edge of the opening from the side of the developed space, and a metal hopper. The section includes the inner and outer parts, kinematically connected to each other. The outer part contains two sidewalls, each of which includes a base, an overlap, a lever and a hydraulic support. From the goaf side, the sidewalls are rigidly connected by a fence, to the upper edge of which a tray is pivotally attached, oriented in alignment with the opening of the inner part, and the lid is pivotally attached. The tray along the middle line is provided with a stiffening rib, and on the sides with hinged sidewalls, and the lower outer edge of the overlap of the inner part is provided with a protrusion.

EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of the development of powerful flat seams by means of complex mechanization with the release of coal of the underlying thickness to the downhole conveyor due to a gradual decrease in the specific thrust force of the support in the release zone.
