FIELD: transport mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: clutch has a set of clutch members one half of which is joined to the hub (driven shaft) through slots, and the other half is joined to the housing. The space between the clutch members is filled with a ferromagnetic liquid. The clutch members and housing are made of a nonmagnetic material. The outer periphery of the housing is provided with an electromagnet, which controls the clutch operation through a control block. The permanent magnets are made of two semi-rings and protect the bearings against the effect of the ferromagnetic liquid.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
