FIELD: instrument engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device has two pipes, two gauges for measuring pressure difference, pressure gauge, multiplier, divider, memory cell, recording instrument, and two permanent hydraulic resistances mounted at the inlet of each pipe. The inlets of pipes are connected with a source of excessive pressure. The outlets of the pipes are introduced into the powder-like substance at an angle larger than the natural slope of the powder-like substance and positioned at different levels. The inlets of the first pressure difference gauge are in communication with the spaces of the pipes between the permanent hydraulic resistance and the outlet. The inlets of the second pressure difference gauge are in communication with the outlet of the pressure gauge and outlet space of the permanent hydraulic resistance of the top pipe. The outlet of the first pressure difference gauge is connected to the first input of the divider whose second input is connected with the output of the multiplier. Two inputs of the multiplier are connected to the output of the pressure gauge positioned in the top space of the hopper and output of the memory cell. The output of the divider is connected to the recording instrument.
