FIELD: electrical and electromechanical engineering; inductor-type dc generator units.
SUBSTANCE: proposed inductor-type dc generator unit has frame with front and rear end plates 1 and 2 mounting journal bearings 3 and 4, respectively. Frame accommodates stator stack 5. Shaft 6 carrying beak-shaped rotor stack 7 is mounted in journal bearings 3, 4 for rotation inside frame; dc field winding 8 is wound on rotor stack and connected to dc excitation system through slip rings 9 and brush gear 10 mounted on one end of shaft 6. Built in frame are power rectifier unit 11 whose rectifiers are connected to armature winding 12 of stator stack 5 and cooling system for mentioned windings 8 and 12 and power rectifier unit 11 that has fan mounted on other end of shaft 6 outside the frame on side of front end plate 1, as well as cooling air-intake holes "a" and "b" provided in front and rear end plates 1 and 2. Novelty is that dc excitation system has permanent-magnet exciting generator whose rotor is made in the form of barrel 17 mounted on shaft 6 between rotor stack 7 and butt-end 18 of rear end plate 2 to form, together with the latter, annular chamber "d". Cooling system for windings 8, 12 and power rectifier unit 11 incorporates additional fan with blade cascade 19 mounted on shaft 6 and disposed between rotor stack 7 and bottom 20 of barrel 17.
EFFECT: reduced size and mass, enhanced operating reliability due to improved cooling conditions.
