FIELD: industrial organic synthesis.

SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method for regenerating calcium phosphate catalyst used in production of isoprene from 4,4-dimethyl-1,3-dioxan, which is achieved by periodic firing off coke and resins from catalyst by steam/air mixture at 400-550оС in coupled in-parallel operated contact-type reactors. In catalyst regeneration stage, reactors are connected in series and process in the first upstream reactor is carried out at pressure 2.2-2.8 atm, after which regeneration gases are cooled in regeneration gas temperature control unit and, fully or partly, fed into the second reactor operated at pressure 0.9-1.1 atm prior to be discarded into atmosphere.

EFFECT: reduced steam uptake.
