FIELD: industrial organic synthesis.
SUBSTANCE: high-boiling by-products from synthesis of 4,4-dimethyldioxane are subjected to catalytic cleavage at elevated temperatures. After contact cycle, calcium phosphate catalyst is regenerated by burning off coke at 500-550оС supplying gas leaving 4,4-dimethyldioxane-cleavage installation with temperature 450-550оС at pressure 1.5-2.0 gauge atm, said gas comprising overheated water steam, air oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide. Control and stabilization of catalyst regeneration temperature conditions are accomplished by supplying low-temperature steam and air from factory network.
EFFECT: reduced steam and fuel gas consumption and improved environmental condition.
