FIELD: microwave engineering; flexible waveguides for mechanical isolation of separate plumbing functional devices .

SUBSTANCE: proposed flexible or twistable waveguide has quarter-wave sections with choke grooves on butt-end spherical surface and sets of movable coupling members. Used as coupling members are cylindrical springs disposed in longitudinal slots on common cylindrical surface of sections and secured at their ends on extreme sections. Springs are enclosed by bracing rings (clips) in middle part of each intermediate section and cylindrical holes are provided at points of intersection of longitudinal slots and boundary between sections.

EFFECT: enlarged range of flexible deformations at rather high electrical parameters.
