FIELD: nuclear power production, possibly manufacture of fuel elements of fuel assemblies of power nuclear reactors at sealing them.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of cutting plate blanks from bronze sheets; making rigidity washers and current supply rings of bronze having one ground surface; assembling parts in jig; marking rigidity washers and current supply rings; forming central opening and mounting holes; threading mounting holes and opening of rigidity washer; dismounting pack and marking bronze plates; performing degreasing and thermal oxidizing of steel gasket blanks and bronze plates for forming on them uniform-color oxide film; preliminarily assembling them; placing rigidity washers from upwards on ground surface of current supply ring and compressing them for time interval; fastening pack by means of screw; filling space between screws and pack with mixture of epoxy resin and hardener; arranging insulators and finally tightening pack, then holding it in compressed state; working outer surface of pack according to predetermined size; cutting pack by three sectors corresponding to number of petals of three-petal collet chuck; finishing and lapping sectors; securing sectors of pack in three-petal collet chuck for forming press mold- cooler- electric current supply lead.

EFFECT: increased yield of high-quality fuel elements due to enhanced quality of their welded joints and increased useful life period of article.
