FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device may be used for sealing fuel cells of nuclear power reactors. Tight welding chamber all-in-one housing has through channel for feeding parts in welding zone. Part lock mechanisms composed of collets furnished with appropriate drives are arranged in said housing. Welding force drive and shell extra lock are rigidly coupled with aforesaid housing accommodating two electrodes. Plug electrode may displace relative to said housing while shell electrode is fixed relative thereto. Said housing is coupled with device base via one-degree-of-freedom sliding pair displacing in direction coincident with that of welding force and may be forced back into initial position.
EFFECT: higher quality of weld joint.
